BBC Birmingham is home to television productions from contemporary drama (Dalziel & Pascoe, Doctors and The Afternoon Plays) to factual programmes like Gardeners World and Countryfile; through to documentaries and the award winning regional news and current affairs output Midlands Today and Inside Out.

BBC Birmingham is also recognised for producing highly acclaimed drama and documentary programmes for radio; and the world's longest running radio soap, 'The Archers' is made here too.

In addition, a third of BBC Radio 2's music programmes come from Birmingham with Janice Long and Stuart Maconie just two of the presenters based here; together with Richard Bacon for Radio 5Live.

BBC WM, together with much of the Asian Network's output broadcasts from BBC Birmingham and the UK's first daily Asian radio drama, Silver Street is a BBC Birmingham production.

At BBC Birmingham's new home at The Mailbox, is a Public Space area that offers you the chance to drop in and find out more about our programmes. Tours available.

For the first time, you'll be able to see what goes on in Ambridge as 'The Archers' record in their specially made studio; watch 'BBC WM' and 'Asian Network' presenters live on air; take a peek into the television production gallery; and take a trip down memory lane with our Time Tunnel, which celebrates broadcasting in the Midlands. There's hands on displays and exhibits and a CBBC/CBeebies area. There is also a BBC Shop and a café within the Public Space area.

The BBC Shop stocks a variety of BBC DVDs, videos, audio and books, and a café. Throughout the year the space is used to host a range of special events including BBC's Children In Need, programme Q and A's, booksignings, City wide events and smaller events with educational and community groups.

Birmingham's last surviving court of back to back housing has now been fully restored by the Birmingham Conservation Trust and
The National Trust. Thousands of houses like these were built, literally back to back, around courtyards, for the rapidly increasing population of Britain's expanding industrial towns. The story of the site is told through the experiences of the people who lived and worked here. Visitors move through four different periods, from 1840 to 1977. The design of each interior reflects the varied cultures, religions, and professions of the families who made their homes here.

Discover a fascinating world when you visit this urban heritage park in the shadow of Dudley Castle at the heart of the Black Country

Historic buildings from all around the Black Country have been moved and authentically rebuilt at the Museum, to create a tribute to the traditional skills and enterprise of the people that once lived in the heart of industrial Britain.

Electric tramcars and trolleybuses transport visitors back in time from the modern exhibition halls to the canal-side village, where costumed demonstrators and working craftsmen bring the buildings to life with their local knowledge, practical skills and unique Black Country humour.

We are currently the world’s biggest confectionery company with a number one or number two position in 20 of the 50 largest confectionery markets across the globe.

We create chocolate, gum and candy brands people love - brands like Cadbury, Trident and Halls.

Our heritage starts back in 1824 when John Cadbury opened a shop in Birmingham selling cocoa and chocolate. Since then we have expanded our business throughout the world by a programme of organic and acquisition led growth. On 7 May 2008, the separation of our confectionery and Americas Beverages businesses was completed creating Cadbury plc with a vision to be the world's BIGGEST and BEST confectionery company.

Opened September 2001, the Thinktank at Millennium Point is an entirely new visitor experience where people of all ages are encouraged to question and explore science, technology and the region's unique heritage within a stunning new complex in Birmingham's historic heart. Divided into ten themed sections over four floors, Thinktank is exactly how a modern museum should be, interactive, informative and above all, lots and lots of fun.
Thinktank is a fifteen walk from New Street Station and Snow Hill train and tram station, and three miles from Junction 6 of the M6. There is one conference room seating 200 delegates - this room can also be split into three for smaller meetings. Also at Millennium Point is the Midlands' first IMAX Theatre, where science meets entertainment in spectacular fashion. The screen is so vast (five storeys high and four buses wide) that the projected image dominates your entire field of vision. The largest conference room is 900 sqm and this can be dressed for gala dinners etc. There is also an auditorium that seats up to 200 guests, AV equipment installed includes an interactive voting system.
