The Electric Cinema is one of Birmingham’s most unique and exciting venues – as the oldest working cinema in Britain it has played host to some of the world’s finest films and entertainers.

Situated in the heart of Birmingham City Centre, less than one minutes walk from New Street Station; The Electric Cinema is the city’s most distinctive cinema. Walk through the doors and you are immediately taken back to the glamorous opulence of the Art Deco era.

A fabulous glass and chrome fully licensed cocktail bar awaits to provide a wide range of unusual drinks, specialist teas or coffees and locally sourced ice-creams and luxury snacks. Guests can relax in the bar area,in the upstairs lounge or on our sumptuous sofas.

In the stunning red and black Main Auditorium you’ll find the following facilities:

The Electric Cinema has disabled access to the main auditorium along with disabled toilet facilities, however due to the age of the building and lack of space to install a lift we are unfortunately unable to accommodate disabled patrons in the second screen.
